So, who should get it? Aranda? He just whipped Leipold.

As many have stated, we might not be that attractive. Doubt we could get Aranda out of Baylor. Probably can't lure Leipold from Kansas.

Still not saying Leonhard is the one, but he's 2 weeks in and I sense a change. He might be the inside guy who's not same as usual.

I think we'll know by the end of the year.

I don't sense a change, still WI as it was under PC/BA. What you see are kids who are hurt and emotional because of the in-season firing and they are using that emotion right now...they might win out, the problem with that is next yr and the yr after that when your recruiting won't keep up. UW is losing talent to the portal...two of their guys in each of the next two classes are rethinking their commitment so to be fair JL is going to get screwed this first cycle.

What happens if Jimmy comes out next yr 6-5 and the following 5-6 or something like that? Big changes in the Big 10, please someone show me Jimmy L coaching resume..his experience as a HC, recruiter and program manager that will make UW a team that can contend in the Big Ten long term? You can't because he has NEVER done any of those things.
 
My big worry is keeping Engram as the OC. If Leonard does that that would be a huge mistake
 
A lot folks around Madison and the program feel like the players are playing for PC this season not Jim as they see him as an extension of PC.

GBP4 the talk around town is if Engram does well and helps Jimmy win he'll stay on.

Well they do that might as well admit they will be same year in year out and fight just to get to 6 wins.
 
Why won't the Leonhard way work? We don't even know what the Leonhard way is. This is triage. We won't know what the Leonhard way is until next year if he gets the job.

While I love the Leonhard story and would love it to be successful, I want the best coach available - I would be calling Meyer.

All the rest of this year will show is whether he can get this group of kids with him for the rest of the season.
