sadly, that is exactly what i thought when i saw their schedule. this schedule is beyond brutal.

I could see a 3-4 win season. Win 2 of there non-conference cupcakes they got and then 1 or 2 wins in the Big Ten.

it definitely won't help recruiting. badgers are going to become one of those "automatic wins" on other teams' schedules.

Away games: Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Indiana, and Minnesota for the Axe. We host Ohio State, Illinois, and Iowa.
Judging from the past, I can't see us winning on the road against Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Indiana, or Minnesota (Sigh), and I don't think we beat Ohio State. That's 6 losses leaving only 6 games left to earn a bowl game.
Other tough games we host: Illinois, Iowa, and Maryland who I think is coming on. Bucky must be at least 3-1 after the Maryland game (Rose colored Bucky glasses that it could be better than 3-1), or Bucky's toast. And, Bucky really needs to crush Miami of OH and Middle Tennessee.
Many are wondering why Bucky can't recruit Wisconsin kids? I think they want to play for winners, but Bucky hasn't been and isn't winning and isn't showing signs of reversing that trend. Unfortunately, Bucky is a stalled plane on the way to a crash. We didn't get Top Portal kids, we lost kid, and we aren't getting Wisconsin recruits - especially offensive line.
I hope this just looks bad because we're on the outside not even able to look in, and the coaches and PLAYERS pull Bucky out of this, but I'll have to see it to believe it.

over recruiting WI kids is what got us here...WI HS FB doesn't put a lot of power 5 kids anymore because the WIAA hinders their growth... what hurts is not being able to get kids from the SE and east coast like we used to

Not arguing with you, but we don't seem to even be in contention for the few D1 Wisconsin kids - especially offensive linemen
