Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst met with WR Jayden Reed’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to reassure Reed’s status as the No. 1 WR despite drafting Matthew Golden and Savion Williams.

I was thinking the same thing. Not one of them has established themselves as a clear-cut #1 WR, but they all need to be reassured that they are. But I guess that's par for the course for WR - consistently the biggest divas in the NFL.
I think it's just the generation is mentally weak and needs constant reassurance. In college now if you are not getting the money and/or playing time you want you just quit on the team after the season and go to a new one. NFL you can't just cry and quit and go to a new team so the teams have to babysit these guys and stroke their ego's telling them yeah you are still really important to us and going to be a key part of the team.

I don’t question their efforts but it wasn’t good enough. Bottom line. This team lost games because of WR drops and bad routes. The team didn’t drop a top 25 draft pick on a receiver just to have him fight for reps with Wicks, Melton and Heath.

Report Jenkins wants to rework his contract. He might but I don't GB does. 30 years old GB probably looking not to give a 3rd contract to him. Zach Tom needs a new deal they are probably going to either cut him after this season or just let him play out his next 2 years and leave as a FA. Can't pay everyone on the OL big money.

Let's be honest, Jenkins has been unhappy with his deal since a few months after he signed it. I remember the following offseason or something some OL signed as a G with Atlanta for something crazy like twice the guaranteed money, and he's been kinda ticked ever since. So now getting moved to center, for maybe one year, until he hits the market isn't sitting well.

Sean Rhyan lost out on $2 million dollars by missing 2 snaps. His agent thought he had just made it by snap count listed by Pro Football Reference but NFL and NFLPA use there own snap count system and he came up 2 snaps short of qualifying to get to 35% of snaps played over his first 3 years to get a playing time bonus to increase his base pay.
