I know GB is desperate to improve OL depth but it's questionable if he's much of a improvement. 2022 5th round pick who was a 5th round pick of KC in 2022. Played 1 game and spent most of 2022 and 2023 on KC practice squad. Signed by Philly in 2024 played 2 games.

GB now gives up a 6th round pick for a guy who's been mostly a PS player.

And we would screw that pick up anyway... you can't have it both ways....They went out and got depth, you can't bitch and moan about it after the fact.
He won 3 SB, 2 in KC and 1 in philly, look at his college stuff;

He started two of the team's final three games at left tackle as a freshman, playing in nine games overall, before moving to the right side for all 13 contests in 2019. Kinnard was named a third-team Associated Press All-American and second-team All-SEC selection after starting all 11 games at right tackle for the Wildcats in 2020. He garnered first-team Associated Press All-American honors and won the SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the conference's top offensive lineman for his play in 13 starts at right tackle in 2021.

He's an improvement.

IMO, he'll immediately be the #7 OL on the depth chart ahead of Belton. He's better than all the rest of the turnstiles on the depth chart after Belton, who is more physically talented than Kinnard but isn't quite ready mentally or technique-wise. With questions surrounding the Jenkins and Banks injuries we could see Kinnard as the first guy off the bench week 1, if one of the injured guys can't go.

As for giving up a 6th, I'm not concerned at all, It's for the 2027 draft. With as many free agent losses as the Packers are likely to see next spring, they'll get multiple Comp Picks in the 2027 draft, so that pick is easily replaced.

agree with all of that.

the packers brought kinnard to green bay for one of the team's 30 visits before the 2022 draft. gute has rarely tried to hide his intentions with pre-draft visits. kinnard also participated at the senior bowl, another important event for the packers. the chiefs ended up selecting kinnard at #145 overall in the fifth round, just five picks after the packers took zach tom.

and then there's this:
A big-time recruit out of Ohio for Kentucky, Kinnard ended up playing in 46 games -- including making 39 consecutive starts -- and becoming a decorated player for the Wildcats. In 2021, he was named a consensus first-team All-American, becoming just the 12th consensus All-American in Kentucky's history and the first offensive lineman since 1965. Pro Football Focus gave Kinnard elite blocking grades during each of his final two seasons, and he was one of the highest graded offensive linemen in college football in 2021. That same year, Kentucky was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, which is given out to the best offensive line in college football, and Kinnard won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, given to the SEC's best blocker. Per Kentucky, Kinnard had a team-high 30 "knockdown" blocks in 2021.

and finally, he's rarely penalized. despite playing over 2,500 snaps at the college level and almost 500 more in the preseason, kinnard has only been penalized seven times over his collegiate and professional career. he also wasn't penalized in his lone regular season start.

Hopefully he will play well as if Banks can't go week one there is a good chance that Kinnard would be the top backup and could see snaps if a guy gets hurt or has to leave for some plays.

I would not be surprised to see Banks start on IR. The longer this goes on for him the more likely I think it is. So to your point, OL would be Walker, Morgan, Jenkins, Rhyan, Tom and Kinnard the primary swing back up.
