Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

Realistically with current cap and draft pick situation, most likely scenario for 2026 is Morgan getting first dibs at LT and Belton at RG. Don't have to like it, but I think that's how it will shake out.

Reason why he was drafted the typical Packers BS over drafting a guy because they think he can play more then one spot on the OL. Often these guys can't play one spot well let alone two or more. The Packers ever want to get a good OL they need to get out of this mindset that all there OL must be able to play any spot on the OL. Sometimes you draft a guy who plays one spot but will play that spot at a all-pro level.

I AGREE WITH THIS 100%.

At least get 1 center, 1 right guard, 1 left guard, 2 left tackles, 2 right tackles, and then get guys that can play right, guard, left guard, center, and maybe a little right or left tackle if necessary.

And, for goodness sake, don't- or at least very rarely- acquire players intending to change their position.

At least that's roughly how I'd do it.

The OL is what it is. Whether or not the evals are completely off, they invested heavily in Morgan and Belton and those guys are going to play. Tom is going to play. Banks is going to play. Jenkins is going to be gone, Walker is going to be gone for big money somewhere else. Maybe they can get Sean Rhyan back on a fairly cheap deal but if not, he's gone too. That's one starter at most they need to find, and a lot of depth. With 2 picks in the top 100, they're going to look for that depth later in the draft.

They NEED a corner yesterday. And with the possible departures of Enegbare, Gary and Cox, they're going to NEED a pass rusher. To me those are my targets on day 2 of the draft. Going to be a lot of turnover and little to no dipping into UFA. Ken Ingalls and others have been speculating - and I think it's a good take - that they're going to let some guys go this year in order to juice up the comp picks in 2027.

You're probably right on what's going to happen.

But, that doesn't change what I want to happen.

It's going to be a crazy couple of years.

All those guys you listed are underperforming. With Parsons, they should be creating havoc. It's a shame.

Recently, I've read or watched too many articles and press conferences where LaFleur is trying to say too many - way too many - players are important and valuable, when if they were it wouldn't be a topic. It's a shame. I think 70% of the Pack needs a huge kick in ass - but then they'd cry and pout and play worse.

Go Pack Go! Find a way!

RB coach Ben Sirmans says he thinks MarShawn Lloyd will play for the Packers this season. Lloyd told him that he’s coming back. “He’s pretty charged up.”
