2026 Draft Thread

Because he is raw and needs coaching...has the intangibles, but if you think he's a shutdown day 1 corner, think again.
didn't say he was a shut down corner - just saying I find it hard to believe he has negative value where they picked him.

did a little digging.

Brandon Cisse allowed an average of 20.1 yards per reception in 2025, the third-worst mark among draft-eligible cornerbacks. However, this figure was heavily skewed by his performance against Texas A&M, where he allowed 138 yards on just 3 receptions (46.0 yards per catch).

When excluding the Texas A&M game, Cisse allowed 14.7 yards per reception on 15 catches in the other 11 games, significantly better than his overall average.

for the season, cisse allowed a passer rating of 78.9

Okay, you know what? Not another word about these picks from me because it's turned into Packers chatters with all the BS ....BUT no bitching when some of these guys fall on their face this season. Not a word on shout or forums.

Green Bay Packers: B Grade

Goals Entering the 2026 NFL Draft:
The Packers don’t have a first-round pick, so they’ll have to wait until Day 2 to plug some holes on the offensive line. In addition to improved blocking, the Packers need some defensive line and edge-rushing help, as well as a better backup behind Josh Jacobs.

2026 NFL Draft Accomplishments: The Packers didn’t seem to agree that they needed to bolster their offensive line. They spent just one pick on a blocker, and it wasn’t even an early one. Their fifth-round choice was on center Jager Burton, and that was it.

Green Bay spent its energy upgrading its defense instead. Its top pick was a great value in cornerback Brandon Cisse, and then the Packers went to work on the front seven, selecting Chris McClelan and Dani Dennis-Sutton with their next two choices. Both were strong selections who should be able to bolster the pass rush, which had to be addressed in the wake of Rashan Gary’s departure.

Even though the Packers didn’t attack the offensive line, they still had a fairly solid draft class. They acquired some talented defenders, but they really could have used at least one more pick on an offensive lineman.

I agree with the B grade. The 2026 draft was not a deep draft. I heard one guy say usually you have 18-20 players with a 1st round grade on them. He said this draft was more like 10-12. This was a draft of taking guys who you see to have starter value but you won't get that out of them for 1-2 seasons. Cisse may start this year but that's more due to how poor GB's CB group is then how ready he is. McClellan is a guy who is probably going to be the 4th or 5th DT and may not see a ton of snaps. DDS a 4th round pick I don't think GB will ask much from him even with Parsons out to start the year that Cox, Oliver, and Sorrell likely will be given bigger roles. Burton and Jackson will likely be ST players this year. Smack well will see if he makes the team as the kicker or not.
