The Brown County DA’s office has requested additional investigation into Josh Jacobs and will make a final charging decision at a later date.

his career is most likely over. are the packers still obliged to pay him if he's thrown in jail?

I would not say his career is over. If they let him out and say are reviewing charges could very well mean that the evidence they have on his does not exist or is weak that the DA has to review if there is even a case. Doing this makes me wonder if it's just her claiming something happened and there is not much beyond a he said and she said case. DA wants to make sure there is a case they can win and not just hearsay and case gets thrown out.

true. after hearing that he got released today, i should have changed my post. but i can't help but think that if she has physical injuries and he does not, it is going to end up in court. it sounds like video proof is not available to support either side. so, like you said, it could end up he said/she said, and then it comes down to who has the better lawyer and the jury selection.

So as of right now I can see Jacobs join the team for OTA and TC until any or if any charges are filed. It could be weeks or even months until the DA makes a decision.

DA's don't like to lose big cases. They want something they think is pretty good chance to win. Plays good when re-election time comes up. Something iffy for both sides they will probably try to work out something were Jacobs would plea to a misdemeanor gets a fine and community service. DA counts it as win and Jacobs side counts as win avoiding jail and felony charges.
