Badgers have a new Athletic Director

Shawn Eichorst has been named as the new athletic director at the University of Wisconsin. He is the former athletic director of Nebraska, UW-Whitewater and Miami, and is currently Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Operating Officer for football at the University of Texas at Austin.

Eichorst is a familiar to Wisconsin. He from Lone Rock and is a graduate of UW-Whitewater. He served as deputy athletics director at Wisconsin from 2006 - 2011 under Barry Alvarez. He also served as the chief operating officer and oversaw the men’s basketball program.

Kinda my feeling as well, but at least he has experience at a few other big programs. Hoping his time at Texas and the SEC gave him insights into the modern NIL landscape.
