Nelson 50-50

It appears Jordy avoided serious injury. He might play Sunday. I'm going to say that the Packers saying 50-50 means he should stay out. It's time to let others step up and do their job.

Cobb, day-t0-day. To me, that means about 50-50. I think either Cobb or Nelson will play. The one with the worse injury will probably sit out.

The injury list is rising. The truth - in my opinion - has been in the conditioning program the Packers use, and has been for years. Way too much emphasis on bulk muscles, and not enough on supple muscles, that may not look as pretty and sculpted. When I was young, playing football, and other sports, I used flexibility training with lighter weights, and I stayed pretty much injury free for neary 40 years of playing sports. I'm sold on the process, but for some reason, the "six-pack" theory of building muscles takes precedence.

It's difficult changing the culture in the NFL. Eventually it will change, when they are finally convinced that they're causing their own injuries.

Packers tend to be conservative with game time decisions, so frankly I expect Jordy and Cobb to be held out. I'm hopeful we can get Bulaga and Brooks back.

The thing with injuries right now is we have a late game Sunday followed by a Thursday game. Do you stress the injured guys by bringing them back for Sunday instead of waiting until Thursday, after which you get a mini bye week? Or even hold them out until after the Bears game?

I think we could live this 1 week without Cobb and Nelson, but I at least hope Bak is back. With him back we can slide Murphy back to the right side and make it work. Get BB Cobb and Nelson a few more days and go after the bares.

I to hope we can see Brooks out there. I think he can bring good snaps and some extra pass rush. He did have more hurries then both perry and cm3 last year.

Don't sleep on Cincy.

I don't think the pack is sleeping on them, but what makes them a team to worry about?? There O is awful. They just fired the OC so they will prob struggle with getting plays in this week. Right now they are a team circling the drain. Sure there is some talented players there, but like our beef with coaching and the staff they are in deeping waters.

Yeah there's even talk of benching Dalton if he lays another egg this weekend. The Lewis era has run its course, time for a change there.

Our defense tends to be a nice pick-me-up for struggling QBs, though.

Only if the struggling QB has a good O-line to protect him. If the Packers can pressure Dalton as much as they pressured Wilson, he will not look good again. Dalton has been sacked 8 times, 0 TDs and 4 INTs. QBR at 47.2

They are an NFL team. They have their backs against the wall. Their defense is decent and they have a new offensive coordinator that might reinvigorate that side of the ball.
