Post Game Thread: New England defeats Green Bay

McDaniels would probably be interested in GB, only if he felt that the people above him were savvy enough to do their job. Right now, that's probably not the case.

I bet McDaniels would take a good look at Packers HC job. He's the successor to BB but he has to realize when he takes over Brady will most likely be gone. He comes to GB and Arod is still here? How could you not take that job?

McDaniels was way too young for the Den HC job when he took it. But now I think he'd be someone worth looking at.
My gut Brady plays 3 more years, Rodgers plays 3 more in GB. It’s a rework either way

Late to the party on my comments here:

While Pettine has been an improvement over Capers, I wish the adjustments were much quicker. Patterson (WR turned RB) was gouging the defense over and over, and it took too long to adjust the DL to that. Once they did, he was much less of a factor. His hands are tied with no safeties and no OLB pass rush and the D is rarely playing with a lead, but at the end of the day, allowing nearly 30 points a game (save for the horrendous Buffalo offense) will never be a winning formula.

The OL is a problem. Way too much pressure on Rodgers from a very middling Patriot DL. I saw a comment that Lane Taylor should really be playing the RG spot, but he can't because there is no better option at LG. Bell is not a starting caliber player. And Bulaga is done.

Cobb looked sssslllooowww. At this point, I would activate Trevor Davis to get him back for special teams and as a 5th receiver who can go deep. Allison can't get back healthy and doesn't offer much more than the young guys are already providing.

Playcalling. The Pats are not exactly the '75 Steelers....we should have been able to score way more than 17 on them.

Can't add much but how about this,

AR's mechanics, zip on the ball, and vision seeing the field have gone south. Part of that could be his knee/clavicle, but more likely is that he has just gotten away from having a coach and a system that constantly re-enforces his mechanics as well. He looks less disciplined then he's been in the past.
He's had, what now, 3 different QB coaches in the last 5 years? That's probably not helping. And it's probably not helping that he's in an offensive system/scheme he doesn't much believe in anymore. Just doesn't seem as focused anymore.

Just me but I don’t think he really is committed as in the past. He’s never been the leadership type and now witn Danica and endorsements football is not as important as it was 5 years ago. I don’t disagree on the other things stated but it’s more than what’s happened on the field

I think that's the by product of MM being stale. Why should Arod keep taking the team on his shoulders when the team doesn't match his effort?

Respectfully disagree. That’s not how you should play the game. He just got a brinks truck pulled in his driveway. You can’t force leadership but you can still play. If you don’t have the drive or commitment retire

I think differently. He has seemed even more committed this year and if anything reminds me.of Favre under Sherman.....time running out and pressing more cuz of lack of talent and having to do it all.

Mechanics wise injuries do seem to have taken a toll on those this year and maybe age.
