They are who we thought they were (ha), and it looks as though (realistically) the season is over.

I actually had my hopes up during the first half.

The injuries continue as does everything else bad, unlucky, and untalented.

I think our talent is ok.

I think we are decimated by injuries which is killing us. We are playing 3d and 4th stringers.

I think the problem is the coaching strategy - going deep, instead of a quick hitting, short passing game that takes what the defense gives quickly. That type of offense would take pressure off the offensive line and pass protection. It would get our QB into a rhythm. It would simplify everything for our young players. It would have higher percentage passes. It would keep our offense on the field and rest our defense. It would open up the big spectacular plays. We would win.

BUT OUR BRAIN TRUST REFUSES.

At this point in the season, this is what I am thinking. I might phantom Rodgers with a hamstring injury and just get this team ready for next year. Sucks but that is where we are at.

Perfect result.sc)) This organization needs a kick in its ass. Has been getting by on myth of greatness for farrrr too long. Shake this s*** up. AND, of course, they are hampered by a triumvirate of decision-making that ultimately lands on Murphy who has no say on day-to-day personnel. Not a fan of this version of the Packers.

I think our talent is ok.

Right after the game, I am rather brief (and pissed). :)

The talent I was referring to IS the coaching. Rather, lack of.

The young guys get a pass from me. They are thrust into the game with little knowledge.

MM and Zook???

I would be happy if I never saw their names again except for a small announcement on Packers.com. about their exit.

Packers now have lost eight straight road game, their longest streak since losing nine straight road games in 1978-79.

Murphy presides over this pile and people still don’t think someone is getting the axe? A disappointing season is one thing: historical ignominy is another.

Can't add much so some tweets from last night:

Will Blackmon @WillBlackmon
When I was on the packers in 2008 We lost 4 straight road games. Every time we lost Coach McCarthy made sure each hotel got worse.

He said “If you want to stay in a nice hotel, WIN A DAMN GAME”
One hotel in Jax I swear was on First 48

Brian Burke @bburkeESPN
Friendly reminder that GB punted on 4 yds to go at the +41 with 3 min left in the 1st half. 31 yd punt.

PFTCommenter @PFTCommenter
the analystics say you go for it there but they also said Mike Mccarthy should of been fired 3 years ago so u never realy know when it comes to math

Patrick Daugherty @RotoPat
The Packers are the Bengals + Aaron Rodgers

Let's see -

- AR playing below par - check
- MM with a poor 2nd half game plan, with no running game - check
- defense just good enough to win, but leaky at just the wrong moments - check
- O-line allowing pressure too regularly in the 2nd half - check
- special teams doing nothing special - check

Yup, that was a 2018 Packer game last night

Above is what I wrote after the Seattle loss. Geez these games are becoming eerily similar from week to week. Nothing gets corrected. Time to write off the season. Playoffs are gone. They just need to fire MM after the last game, find a new coach, and hit the scouting hard.
