I think the loss of Pitching Coach Derek Johnson is going to haunt the crew this year.

I think he was a key to last year and very under appreciated. Possibly one of the top 5 pitching coaches in the MLB.

Coles on the other hand is addition by subtraction.
 
Outside of Davies and Hader the whole staff is taking steps backwards. I have to believe the loss of Johnson has to have played a part.
 
It’s April 15th. Ask me in 45 days or so. Burnes and Woodruff are still finding their way and loss of Miley can’t be understated

Burnes clearly looks like a guy who should be coming out of the pen and not starting

I think 90% of his HR were off fastball. Just adjusting. Maybe telegraph pitches ? He’s got great stuff
