Jones was a rookie in 2007 and was a part of the scout team with Rodgers in the season before he made his debut as the Packers starting quarterback. Because it was his first year in the league, Jones didn't realize just how impressive it was to have a scout team quarterback doing what Rodgers could do.

"I just remember talking to Al Harris and Charles Woodson, and they were just like, 'This dude is unbelievable,'" Jones said. "When you're a young player, you're looking at it like, 'Whatever.' I just thought this is what a pro quarterback was."

If he was out there throwing worm burners like Vince Young, or spraying it wildly on the move like Brett Hundley, there's not much you can do IMO. It's not fair to him but that's the NFL. It's not set up to be fair to young QBs.

Thats fair. I just sense that this organization gave up draft equity so that has to factor in...and the fact that this organization holds on to guys too long .....

I trade him get something for him because if you are Love I don't want to sit for 4 years trade me I have zero interest sitting that long and won't resign in GB and take my chances elsewhere

there has been 2 public statements, one by GB and one by Rodgers thru Tirico. Its never been played out except by speculation

he has no leverage and no equity to force it
 
To me you keep Rodgers you give Love this year and 2022 by then you know ok he's our future or dump him.

he would get less on the open market. If hes crapping the scout team bed that gets around the league fast
