he would get less on the open market. If hes crapping the scout team bed that gets around the league fast
But if he's looking strong that gets around also and who's to say in a desprate NFL QB pool some team does not overpay him. If GB wants him so bad force the FT on him and start on contract talks from there.

if he is you keep him. Alot will go into how teams evaluated him pre draft

Yeah he's looking strong and team comes to him to sign that gives him some leverage and he would be foolish to take anything under starter money

he has ZERO leverage none. beating a dead horse here

Thats fair. I just sense that this organization gave up draft equity so that has to factor in...and the fact that this organization holds on to guys too long .....
Totally get it. It's just that this situation has devolved into one where someone is going to have to eat a sh!t sandwich, and I think real leadership is volunteering to do it yourself rather than letting so much go up in flames.

If he's looking good in practices he has leverage word gets around if he looks good or bad He's looking good in practice and pre-season games teams would have interest in him in FA. You act like he needs to beg GB to take a vet min deal.

Rodgers comes out winner in this no matter what and FO takes a hit. GB either gives him a new deal with the guarantees he wants or Rodgers gets moved to another team that gives him the same. Either way Rodgers wins and FO looks like fools.

someone will sure. If they are 100% sold its a mistake move on, if there are doubts it forces you to play it out short term to validate it. Its not an easy call
