Rodgers Wants Out

Always with the both sides stuff. I can find stuff to complain about with Murphy and Gute as well but mostly pertaining to other stuff. Aaron spent his entire career being a passive aggressive a-hole when it came to communicating his grievances about the team. Always to the public, always throwing someone else under the bus. For years the quality of his play made it so that they had to tolerate his crap. The team made a judgment call that, based on his recent play, AR was approaching the point in his career where they no longer would have to tolerate it, but then he went out and had a monster MVP year and now they'll look nuts if/when they trade him. Team brass made a bet and lost, big, but for all his flowery talk about relaxing, I wish he took his own advice and spoke up honestly and directly to Gute instead of bailing.
Winning makes any professional sports franchise tolerance level higher when it’s comes to the face of their franchise.

While Rodgers has been well compensated he also has made the organization an obscene amount of money. Do you really think Titletown or stadium expansion would be a reality with a few 6-10 seasons? I have serious doubts.

I guess we can agree to disagree but the track record of this organization for decades when it comes to communication has been questionable at best.

I just wonder what would be different with John Jones running the show not Mark Murphy

I fully acknowledge the impact that Rodgers has had on the team. If Favre gets credit for the renovated stadium, Rodgers gets credit for Titletown. That I think we agree on.

But the rest is not the way I see the world. I believe we are responsible for our own feelings, and we are responsible for communicating our feelings to others to the extent we need to. Others are NOT responsible for reading our minds and predicting what they think our reactions will be. Others ARE responsible for listening and responding as they see fit. That's the bargain, it's being a damn adult. So much of this stuff boils down to, the team should have known what he was going to think, how he was going to feel, etc etc. How about, Rodgers acts like a man, calls Gute and speaks his mind? Take some responsibility for yourself.

I give you Tom Brady and Tampa as an example recently at least publicly. You can make a slight case for Detroit, they discussed with Stafford moving on and worked with him to get to a desired destination. And considering there are not many elite QB’s out there it’s a small group
But those guys did not act like Rodgers with the no way will I ever go back to GB attitude

And who is to say this never happened, or Dunn makes that call. I don’t think either is a mild wallflower. Is there a possibility that he did not sure.

Personally I don’t think either side should make assumptions. Should they have called Rodgers telling him they are drafting Love? No don’t think that’s any organization’s responsibility. But once it happened yeah, there needed to be an open line of communication. And if (i believe there is ) a timeline existed make it clear and have that honest conversation. Figure out at that point what’s best for the player and the organization short term and long term

It’s just like the Favre situation. Both sides share responsibility.
Yes but it seems that though Rodgers created a lot of this mess right now himself. Do the Packers want to move on at some point yes but Rodgers does not need to throw the temper tantrum on wanting to be the guy who controls more. I think had he gone to the team say hey we both know were we are heading how about we both agree 2021 will be my last year here we both look to move me somewhere after the season that will work for all parties.

If he went for the team with that we would not be at a stalemate

Interviewing Gil Brandt today. They asked him should GB have given Rodgers more say in how things have bene run with the team. Gil said no right away he said they never asked or called Roger Staudbach when they drafted a QB and he never threw a fit over it either.
