Rodgers Wants Out

With that quote, what you posited, is totally within the realm. I'm trying to come up with a word that describes that type of thinking. I know some have said narcissistic but it's borderline psychotic, imo. That might be a little extra but damn, that's not a good look for AR.
I agree with your choice of words. What's notable is that Rodgers does not swagger around like Jim McMahon, he doesn't relish playing the "conceited QB" character, that would be too vulnerable and true. Instead he insists on being seen as zen, laid back, "a beautiful mystery" - the exact opposite of what he really is.

I'll say this Tyler is much more connected than many others as he has 2 solid in's in that organization.
Thing I take also in what he writes is that Rodgers might not have that much of a backing by teammates as some people want to believe. I think because of his attitude and how standoffish he can act towards his own teammates that I think there will be more teammates then people think that will be happy to see him go as just to get him out of the locker room.

Though does GB say ok we trade him for what we want or no trade if they would agree to move him
Like any negotiation there is give and take, what’s best for the short term and long term. What they want is probably unreasonable

Exactly, rp. You nailed it. That's what Inwas getting at. His actions seem to be the exact opposite of his words.

I don’t think his locker room popularity is much different now than 5 years ago. It goes with the territory. He attitude should not come as some great enlightenment. Players know it’s a business, it’s how they manage outside distraction

He's always been a bit awkward but it all kind of makes sense now.

Players choose sides though and no matter what you keep him or trade him there are going to be pissed off players on the team.

Thanks for posting Mark! I wanted to read Tyler's work but couldn't justify $70 a year for it.

I buy everything about his personality, it's great and valuable insight from Dunne. I do think there is more of a money play going on here, I think Rodgers' pettiness would be satiated (enough) by making them eating a turd sandwich and paying up to keep him around another 3 years.
Money and how it’s structured is not exactly the same. If it’s voidable years that does not ring of a “long term commitment”, at least in his mind. Sure the “highest paid” rings the bank but “long term commitment” rings the ego
