Rodgers Wants Out

Players choose sides though and no matter what you keep him or trade him there are going to be pissed off players on the team.
And usually that stops when you take the field. The issue is the media having the narrative for 18 weeks instead of what’s going on game day

Money and how it’s structured is not exactly the same. If it’s voidable years that does not ring of a “long term commitment”, at least in his mind. Sure the “highest paid” rings the bank but “long term commitment” rings the ego
I think GB offered Rodgers a deal back say January he takes it. I think now you could offer him a 5 year deal fully guaranteed and he would pass on it just because as the artlice states he is petty and when he sets his mind to one thing he wont' change it.

Yeah GB is winning it's fine but if they lose the media would be like is it because of Rodgers and the team not getting a long can they fix it and turn it around?

Disagree. If you believe that he was offered the highest paid type deal then and he said no money was not a fix.

Either way win or lose the cloud is always there. It’s like teams really don’t like a lame duck coach. This is now a lame duck QB. The media frenzy will be obscene

Yeah but if he is offered it before the season ends and the money keeps him in GB through 2022 does Rodgers say ok they are committing to me for 2 years I can accept that.

This “riff” is over 12 months old. Money was a simple narrative by the organization to say “we tried, we offered him to be the highest paid”. Who do you think leaked that? Not Dunn. 2022 is not a “long term commitment “

He’s 38, how long term could we get?

I honestly think he was looking at a 3-4 year commitment starting in 2022. That’s why I think the money / contract stuff was a nice talking point but not the core issue. He knew he was not getting that type of a commitment. It’s was a power play

I'll say this Tyler is much more connected than many others as he has 2 solid in's in that organization.

which also means that he's going to lean heavily towards what packers management would like us to believe.

the article lost a ton of credibility for me when dunne said "Another fact lost amid all mainstream blathering is that Gutekunst has been an outstanding GM." i spit out my kirkland vitarain zero all over my desktop when i read that.
