The reality of it is most AD’s are judged by who they hire in high profile athletics. Richter was blasted by more than a couple of boosters when he hired Ryan. That worked out ok To the vast majority of the general population fund raising is not even on the radar. For better or for worse Wisconsin has been the pillar of consistency and keeping things “in house”. Just look at the staffs in football and basketball. On the plus side Kohl and The Camp are solid facilities, the south end zone project looks on track, now just sell the suites and seats. On the flip side, we lost a lot of “clout” on both a conference and national scale, facilities while good need to upgrade.
