Rodgers Wants Out

i'm starting to lean this way as well. he should wait until the week 10 game has been played. that way it is unlikely they would play him in week 11 and week 12 is a bye. if the team has somehow managed to win six games before the bye, i think they would try to make the playoffs by starting rodgers in week 13. otherwise, i think they just let him sit, collect whatever money he is contractually owed for 2021 and then try to trade him in the offseason.
I believe Rodgers and Dunn both know he has to play this year to maximize his trade value in the off season. No snaps and 1 year older is not optimal for a trade and / or any extension.

i choose not to see this as a contest. both rodgers and the team have already lost. now it is just a matter of seeing how much. and i really don't think that matters.
Neither has lost anything yet unless PR is important to them. Any trade is a long shot for obvious reasons and both sides know it.

And of course, that is your right but the NFL is a business and the Packers can't look at it through the eyes of the fans if they want to survive. Aaron is under contract and the ball is in his court..his move, All GB has to do is either stand pat or trade him besides that there really isn't any other move except completely cave which I can't imagine them doing.

Great, nothing could be better for GB. Love getting all the starter snaps would be epic for them. If he comes back 3 days before game 1 total win for the FO.

He has very few ways he can win this deal, If Murphy and Gute stand firm they win hands down. If he retires and or sits out he loses a ton of cash and looks like an ass.
I think Arod believes he wins as along as its Arod who decides when he shows up. And of course the day he walks into Lambeau he gets his old job back as if nothing happened, another win for him.

Right now Arod is showing he can do whatever he wants, say whatever he wants, and GB won't do anything to him except say they want him back.

I think teams would be desperate for a QB and want him no matter what.

I think Rodgers and his agent know a trade is unlikley at this point so it's just Rodgers being a pouty little baby.

He’s not being pouty at all. He’s been rather silent actually and rightfully so.

A point to think about. Not one derogatory word has come directly from Rodgers' mouth. Everything that has been stated has been 3rd party, and not one statement has been called "his exact words."

In other words, Rodgers is playing the game of "plausible deniability." He can stroll into camp, and simply say; "I didn't say any of those things. You know how things get bent out of shape."

Then, quietly, and in the background, his people can badger the Packers front office into getting him traded.
