I think it's a tantrum he is not getting what he wants so he throws a fit.

You need a team with 3 things
1. Assets to trade
2. Cap space to eat his contract
3. At 38 he better be the "missing piece" to a deep, deep , deep run in the post season

That narrows the field considerably and if he sits for any extended period of time his value decreases

At 38 if GB gets a 1st I will be happy and I think there will be a few teams with cap space to get him

As I've said, it seems the problem is that he hasn't messed up anyone's timeline. I think if his MVP season did and they offered him years and traded Love, this wouldn't be happening. FO isn't budging, they only want him in 2021.

The other issue right now is that both sides are too focused on the optics. Both Rodgers and GB want something without having to look like they asked for it, and they want to be able to paint the other party as an ingrate.

Oh clearly if they extend him this is a non issue. Agree.

My take is that the organization is hell bent and sticking to the “last dance” scenario as you mentioned they only want 2021. And even if they cave they won’t trade Love. Back to a point you have made, that’s admitting he was a mistake

Rodgers and Dunn know this and they have limited options, none that are optimal financially. So it becomes philosophical. Difficult end game
