Bucks vs Suns NBA Finals Thread

I guess I'm not alone in believing Bud can't do the job. In all honesty, even if they win it, I hope they can him.

And last night VanGundy ripped people for how they were critical of Bud not making adjustments. Personally he’s outcoached Nash and McMillan. This series? About even

I saw that, but I've always felt VanGundy was a coaches announcer. He earned his DIII basketball spurs as a point guard on the Nazareth midgets team if I recall? ;)

So, who bailed you out this morning? Mark? Fulton County, or did you go out of state for a little orange jump suit relaxation? shots)
Just my version of witnesses protection

Well his coaching stint in NY was ok ….I digress.

Is Bud perfect no. And no coach in the association is. But what he did strategically vs Brooklyn and Atlanta was outstanding. And he made McMillan look like a D League coach.

I do hope to see Milwaukee raise an O'Brien. I am not confident, but if it does happen, that will make it even sweeter because I sure didn't expect it.

Also, if they do win it, I want to go on record saying that they should not extend his contract until after they see what happens next year. He has two years left I believe?

Even if the Bucks lose the series they finally got over that hump of losing before they got to the finals. Now you got to the finals you can build on that. Look back were it went wrong. I still think Middleton is not that 2nd scoring threat that you need to have to be a champion but the Bucks lack tradeable assets and cap space to go find a 2nd big star to put next to Giannis.
Without Middleton the Bucks are leaving Atlanta for vacation. Like 95% of players he gets in streaks good and bad. But when you look at his numbers, how he plays defense and fit in the system, I’m take him over a guy like Harden.

I said before the series Phoenix was more balanced. And it’s proven itself out. And this is the first series that we have missed The Big Ragu especially perimeter defense.

Every game has its unique flow. Phoenix hit more contested shots in game 2 than I can remember a team making. Especially Bridges. Game 3 they did not fall.

Bud has 1 year left on his deal

When it comes to both sides of the ball, I go with Middleton. Harden possibly for offense only, but that's rarely the case.

Where the Bucks have been struggling is getting consistency from a large enough number of players at one time, and adjusting, to find the guys who can make it happen.

100% agree on Harden. What’s been a bit perplexing to me is the 3 point shots have not fallen. The looks are there. I’ve felt that the short breaks in the Brooklyn and Atlanta series did not help get their legs back so maybe that’s part of the issue. Could also be just playoff pressure
