Rodgers Wants Out

If Rodgers sits out 2021, does his contract toll a year? Or, is it held back a year?

FWIW when I say transcendent I don't mean anything within the game itself. I mean guys who were really meaningful beyond the sport and the game, not changing the way the game is played. It's something that happens organically, you become part of the fabric of the city or region. That's not Rodgers, that's not LeBron. But it IS Kobe, certainly. and Favre, Messier, Jeter, Big Papi, to name some recent ones.
Also it's how you embrace the city you play in. Rodgers always seemed to never embrace the state like Favre did thus which is why he does not get the love Favre does to this day over a decade after he left.

I will give you that. The right reason can be blured in the eyes of every person.
Not even sure blurred is the right word. Some fans just get way to damn invested with a player or franchise that it consumes them, its more black and white not blurred

I admit I have a bias. I love the Packers. The team will always come first to me. Players will come and go but there will always be only one team.

And in that sense Green Bay is a very unique organization, its more about the state than just one small town. I never questioned Rodgers love or respect for the fans or the history of the organization. His issues are different and separate

Rodgers has always had the West Coast lifestyle in him. Never matched with a Midwest lifestyle.

Yep but that has nothing to do with how he loves the fans and the history of the organization. I will never question that part of him
