Wisconsin wants to educate athletes on NIL, not oversee contracts. But some proposed deals raised questions.

So school could not block him from signing any deal if school reps say Chevy they say sorry we have deal with Chevy you can't promote any other brand because that conflicts with us?
Yes. No school is going to risk millions. Now some independent auto like Car Max probably would be an exception.

If it’s an exclusive agreement yes. But devil is in the details so on the flip side exceptions are made.
Seems like each deal will need to be picked over with a fine tooth comb and could have to be readjusted just to make it pass the sniff test with schools.

Going to be interestign first big time college kid is blocked form getting 5 figure deal turned down by school because of conflicts to see what happens.

One analogy. When I negotiated the Kia deal with the Falcons, Ford had to sign off on it. We agreed to not promote SUV’s and that worked. It’s all in how it’s negotiated

That’s were compliance comes in.

Well It’s exclusive there’s no case. It’s a legal document. It’s black and white

Did Ford have some naming right with stadium or something that Ford had to approve?

No. They were the “Official Automotive Partner” of the Falcons. We agreed our language was written as “Proud Partner” of the Flacons

Can it be Vague like some guy has 10 resturants under his own name in a state he wants star QB to promote it. But then can school block it because they have a national returant chain deal? Or is that still black and white? Just seems it's muddled when you do local vs national chains like that.

Strange how Ford would still allow Kia to become a sponsor also.
