To me, this is the game that will tell us exactly what kind of a team the Badgers are. I think the icing on the cake is the way Mertz handles himself under center, and how our two headed, undersized RB pair exploit the holes opened by our O-Line.

I have no doubt that Jim Leonhard's defense will play lights out.

Badgers favored by 5 to 5 1/2. I think they cover.

New OC @ Penn State, pass heavy. Wisconsin on D is better than Clifford. I think they cover but my confidence level is not sky high

I'm with Pack. I want this one badly (go figure, I want every game badly), but I guess I'm just tuned to be dissapointed so I'm concerned.

Right now, we have absolutely no idea how this version of the Badgers will perform. Last year's performances won't gain them a winning record.

I'm looking at Mertz, and our two-headed RB combo to see what they have to offer.

Last year is an outlier with all the issues with Covid for everyone.

My 3 things to look for
  • Davis and Pryor @ WR. Can they change the field and can Dike take the next step
  • How do we utilize Berger. I sense they might use him as a slot in a 2 back set and utilize his ability to catch the ball
  • Staff changes at WR, RB & DB’s. What do they bring and impact
