Eagles are trading OL Darian Kinnard to the Packers for a 2027 6th-round pick, per league source.
And we would screw that pick up anyway... you can't have it both ways....They went out and got depth, you can't bitch and moan about it after the fact.I know GB is desperate to improve OL depth but it's questionable if he's much of a improvement. 2022 5th round pick who was a 5th round pick of KC in 2022. Played 1 game and spent most of 2022 and 2023 on KC practice squad. Signed by Philly in 2024 played 2 games.
GB now gives up a 6th round pick for a guy who's been mostly a PS player.

agree with all of that. He's an improvement.
IMO, he'll immediately be the #7 OL on the depth chart ahead of Belton. He's better than all the rest of the turnstiles on the depth chart after Belton, who is more physically talented than Kinnard but isn't quite ready mentally or technique-wise. With questions surrounding the Jenkins and Banks injuries we could see Kinnard as the first guy off the bench week 1, if one of the injured guys can't go.
As for giving up a 6th, I'm not concerned at all, It's for the 2027 draft. With as many free agent losses as the Packers are likely to see next spring, they'll get multiple Comp Picks in the 2027 draft, so that pick is easily replaced.
A big-time recruit out of Ohio for Kentucky, Kinnard ended up playing in 46 games -- including making 39 consecutive starts -- and becoming a decorated player for the Wildcats. In 2021, he was named a consensus first-team All-American, becoming just the 12th consensus All-American in Kentucky's history and the first offensive lineman since 1965. Pro Football Focus gave Kinnard elite blocking grades during each of his final two seasons, and he was one of the highest graded offensive linemen in college football in 2021. That same year, Kentucky was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, which is given out to the best offensive line in college football, and Kinnard won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, given to the SEC's best blocker. Per Kentucky, Kinnard had a team-high 30 "knockdown" blocks in 2021.
I would not be surprised to see Banks start on IR. The longer this goes on for him the more likely I think it is. So to your point, OL would be Walker, Morgan, Jenkins, Rhyan, Tom and Kinnard the primary swing back up.Hopefully he will play well as if Banks can't go week one there is a good chance that Kinnard would be the top backup and could see snaps if a guy gets hurt or has to leave for some plays.
