Longo guy at NC could UW go after him in the portal?

North Carolina running back Elijah Green is expected to enter the transfer portal, a source tells

.Ran for 558 yards, had 17 catches and posted nine total touchdowns for the Tar Heels in 2022.

I think Fickell will be pretty active in the portal, in part because I think we'll see a fair number of guys leaving the program. Correll would be a nice get, since center might be their biggest need. Interesting that he's leaving Notre Dame.

I think they would definitely look hard at a graduate senior QB. Without Mordecai they have a true frosh, a redshirt frosh, a soph, and two redshirt sophs. Locke played some this season, but his physical limitations may mean he's never really the answer. Evers has the tools but doesn't seem to be quite ready. Not sure Burkett or LaCrue are quite ready either. Metteuer, the incoming recruit would seem to be a longshot to be ready.

Taking a RB might depend on whether Mellusi comes back. He's a good fit for the offense and combined with Acker and hopefully a more ready Nate White, they might have enough between those guys plus the incoming kids.

It'd also be nice to see them add a pass rush threat and another LB with some speed. Oh, and a WR that can stretch the field would be a nice add. They don't have that guy right now.

Cincinnati LB Deshawn Pace enters the transfer portal. Intriguing player who had a pretty solid role at dollar position in Mike Tressel's defense in 2022 as a hybrid DB/LB.

Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen declares for the NFL Draft.
I thought sure he was going to transfer to a school where his running talent would have been used more. I see him as a 3rd round pick to be honest. I hope White, or one of the freshmen has the tools to continue the run dominance. I just don't think Chez has it. For that matter, he might not be back either.

I think with Allen getting hurt this year, he doesn't want to risk one more season in college. As it is, you can see he's still not 100% as he doesn't have the burst of speed back that he had prior to the injury.
I don't think he has anything to gain by going to a school that runs more. He has already proven that he's one of the top RB in college football; he's #75 in the Bleacher Report in overall draft rankings, and the #3 RB.

Good points.
