Sometimes you get a funny hop

Sometimes you hit the post

Sometimes you just miss

Sometimes the opposing goalie plays out of his mind for the final two periods.

And sometimes all of the above happens at the worst possible time.

We were right there (and objectively outplayed for most of the game) the program that has been the gold standard for the last decade.

Depending on who stays, next year's team can be right back in it as the incoming recruiting class is very solid.
 
Speaking of staying and going:

Sr. Christian Fitzgerald (F) (16-15-31 in 39 g) signed an entry level contract with the Dallas Stars, and will finish out the season with the AHL-affiliate Texas Stars.

Fr. Dylan Compton (D) (4-6-10 in 36 g) is transferring from Northeastern to Wisconsin via the portal.

Between incoming recruits, expiring eligibility, and this one transfer, we're over the 26 man roster hard cap (27) so some more roster action will be forthcoming.

Also, Asst Coach Nick Oliver will be leaving to be the head man for the St. Cloud State program.

Agree with everything.

I thought we were a smidge better for 45 minutes.

They were better for about 9.

Equal after their 2d goal.

It happens. Watching them play in the Tourney, Bucky must have went into one hell if a funk to have that horrible living streak and get blown out by them Ohio State.
