2025 Badger Football Thread

Pittsburgh will no longer play the Badgers next year due to the ACC playing 9 conference games. Eastern Michigan has replaced them on the schedule.

We all want Wisconsin to be Very Very Good again. It was fun playing those 3 years LSU - 'Bama - LSU. It was fun competing in B1G Championships. It was fun having the Axe. It was fun trouncing Michigan. It was fun walking onto any field believing we'd win.

I know it's hard because Wisconsin seems to be treading water right now while other programs are making huge changes - firing everybody, etc...

There's nothing any of us can do about it - unless somebody has 1/2 billion to give to Wisconsin Football. But, before you do, call me. I'll buy you a beer - maybe 2. You'll retain me. You won't waste your money.

Currently, all we can do is hope that my optimistic hopes come true:
  • Coach Fick isn't as bad as they say - he's just been snake bit with injuries.
    • I know people say the culture sucks at Wisconsin. But, except for Maryland and Iowa, those kids played hard as they could. They kept playing when most would have quit.
    • From the outside we don't think there's a good culture. But, on the inside it can't be that bad.
  • Wisconsin gets Wisconsin guys - they are not going to be 4-5 star superstars. They will be 2-3 star guys that are overlooked, hungry, smart, enthusiastic, mentally and physically tough guys that want to be at Wisconsin. Hopefully, those guys through attitude and effort and smart coaching to their skill sets can turn the program around and get us beating the 2d tier more often than not.
    • Yes, if these guys are good enough to turn Wisconsin around, we will probably lose them. But, they will have created a pipeline to get more like them to keep it going. After a couple years, we might get better talent.
That's really all we have. Stay the course and grind it out.

Go Bucky!
