2025 Badger Football Thread

Curtis is no surprise. With Posa and Catalano taking all the ILB snaps and with Alliegro ahead of him, Curtis was not getting hardly any snaps by the end of the year. They will miss him for depth but he was no longer a starter and I'm sure a good athlete like him wants a chance to play and start somewhere.

@jessetemple

I can confirm that Wisconsin is moving on from offensive line coach AJ Blazek. He was with the Badgers for two seasons. Wisconsin will be on its third offensive line coach under Luke Fickell and fifth since 2021.

BREAKING: WISCONSIN is expected to hire former Arkansas/Baylor OL Coach Eric Mateos to the staff #Badgers

Blazek was a solid recruiter, but the players didn't seem to progress and develop under him. Hopefully they can get things back on track because they have some solid '24 and '25 recruits on the o-line.

It wasn't the line coach at all... the talent isn't there not just OL but across the board.

UW is going to have one of the worst rosters in the Big Ten in 2026 despite the schedule being easier the wins won't come since the talent will be even worse then 2025.

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has been been fired, according to sources. The school has been investigating a situation inside the building for the past few weeks.

Losing Trech is gonna hurt. He was #3 in both receptions and yards, and that production will need to be replaced from the portal because I don't know that they have a replacement on the roster because the WR room is a mess. They've basically lost all three starters at WR and don't have much behind them so will need to hit the portal hard at WR, especially since there may be more portal defections.

Looks like it's official that Eric Mateos will be replacing AJ Blazek as OL coach. Mateos has worked with Jeff Grimes at Baylor and BYU. Mateos had a really good o-line at Arkansas last year, and despite their terrible record they ran the ball well. Hopefully he'll find a way to coach up whatever talent he's got at UW.
