2025 NFL Season Thread

Caleb has some talent, but Bagent appears to be smarter and more coachable.
He reminds me of the way Goff plays, he's willing to make that timing/seam throw that Johnson loves so much. Caleb's game is to scramble and make plays off schedule, Johnson is going to want him to play way more on time.

I think this is the last year of his "affordable" rookie contract. Not sure he's worth $5m/year . .
Do you want a good backup QB you have to pay for or do you want cheap aka late round rookie or UDFA making rookie min and are screwed if something happens to love?

Oh, I'm not disagreeing that we need a good backup QB; honestly, I'm not sure what the market is for them and what Willis is worth; maybe it is $5m/year.

Agent for Parsons told Jerry to stick it up his ass when he told them they got a deal done with him without talking to him first.

I'm far from a Jerry fan, but this whole interaction between Jerry and Parsons is full of BS talk from both sides. I think Jerry is an idiot, and we have another agent who is going to work him over and get his player the "highest paid defensive player ever" contract and Jerry will proclaim a victory. Again, I think Jerry is an idiot, and the media always takes the stance of the player vs the owner - but I don't think Micah Parsons is at all a victim in any of this. I was listening to ESPN radio and one of the guys said "Well all of the other players are behind Micah" . . . and I'm thinking, well "NO SHIT! of course they're supporting a player getting as much money as possible" because a rising tide lifts all boats.

Parsons is not a victim, he will be A-OK but Jerry is an incomprehensible idiot for thinking he doesn’t need to talk to a players agent to get a deal done. It’s not the 80s.

Jerry believes that he is the smartest GM in the league - he's basically said as much. Thinking he can bypass the agent and talk Parsons into a deal that's good for Jerry . . . LOL.
