2025 NFL Season Thread

So the state of Kansas pretty much told the Chiefs we will totally let you screw our taxpayers over and get nothing in return if you move across the state line to play in our state.

It's wildly popular in Kansas..they want to keep the Chiefs and Royals at all costs.
From what I read Missouri were the teams are now have more of the hotels and restuarants and that Chiefs fans like GB fans do a lot of tailgating so it seems that the Kansas side might not get much of the benefit to a local economy boost.

Plus in the past FLAPack has said that studies have shown that most projects like this never make the money back in the economy and it's rare instances like in GB were the economy runs off the team that it works.

Nah.. that's not right. They are building in the ks side burbs. It's super nice..way better than the Missouri side. I think it's a great project.

I question what would happen if the Packers tell Green Bay and the state Lambeau Field is to outdated to upgrade and we need to replace it and want 2-4 billion from you to help.

In an era where states hand out billions per year on direct payments, housing and medical care for illegal immigrants and all sorts of other ideological pet pork projects, I am no longer outraged by public funding for sports stadiums. Actually seems like a good use of money in comparison.
