2026 Draft Thread

Shows you how stupid people are on social media. Guy runs fast and made a 70 yard FG at pro day. People now blowing up over this guy.

Problem is he has only attempted and made one XP in his career as a kicker. He was a soccer player most of his career.
IMO he is not a guy you draft he's a UDFA because you are likely not handing kicking duties right away to a guy who has never made a FG in a real game. Probably needs 1-2 years on a practice squad to refine his skill set to see if he can become a NFL kicker. I just don't buy that a guy who has never kicked in college and booms 70 yards in a pro day is this future great kicker.

to be fair, he didn't just nail a 70-yarder. he made 12 of 13 kicks in his pro day.

Who cares how fast/slow a kicker is?

bookmark this thread and when this guy ends up setting records in the nfl for fg % and distance and our guy is losing games with missed chip shots, come back and refresh your memory.

if he doesn't get a job as a kicker and never makes it in the nfl, come back here and laugh.

How do we know it's the slow season? We are talking about a kicker who has NEVER kicked a FG...EVER. Seriously guys nuts((
It's tough when there's no 1st round pick. It's not even that the draft doesn't hold interest, because Day 2 picks can still make a major impact. It's just that at 52, there are too many variables to hone in on a small group of potentially available players. If you pick between 20-25, you can sort out a group of 4-5 guys that will likely be there when you pick, then you watch them more, read about them, debate them etc. At 52, forget it. Way too much can happen before hand, the net is way too big and there are too many players in it. You really need to see how the first round shakes out before you get a sense of who might be there. So yes, that's why we're talking about the Jim Thorpe of kickers right now.
