The specialist community is a tight-knit one, and that means the passing of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and ex-MSU punter Mike Sadler has rocked said community. That group includes Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone, and on Monday a move to honor Foltz was undertaken by him.
In honor of his good friend, #Badgers kicker Rafael Gaglianone will wear No. 27 in memory of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz this season.

Foltz and Sadler passed away on Sunday after the car that Sadler was driving was heading back to Nebraska following a Kohl’s Kicking Camp appearance in Wisconsin this weekend. As conditions became dangerous, Sadler lost control of the car and it hit a tree killing both of them and injuring a third person in the car.
Ex-Wisconsin punter Drew Meyer was the one that found the accident after neither were answering their cell phones as they were heading out of the area. After struggling some in his sophomore season, Gaglianone has dropped weight and refocused on his craft.
With the passing of his good friend, Gaglianone may even have more motivation to shake off a bad sophomore season and become the big weapon that he was for the Badgers in 2014.
