you can only learn so much by watching somebody else play. against purdon't and rutgers the badgers were so far ahead that they could have put him in for one or two possessions during the 4th quarter to get him some live game experience. there's nothing like actualy playing the game to get groomed.

Mettauer is going to use this as his red shirt year. You don't want to play him unless you have to. He's the #2, and you're trying to save those entries in case of an emergency. If you put him in for both of those games, just as mop up, it would be burning two more games he's allowed, and that would make 3, since he's already been in one. You're allowed a max of 4.

if a qb is any good, they're likely to enter the draft before their 4 years of eligibility are used up anyway.

Actually I htink he's been in two I think the wated one game were he took like 2 snaps.
 
I think Bucky put themselves in a bad way with Mettauer and his possible red shirt.

I think they've played him twice with him doing nothing that you couldn't have plucked a guy out of the stands to do.
