The Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon is one of the more unique things in the world of college football. Few other conferences offer the chance to interact with and hear from every head coach and players from all 14 Big Ten teams.
Part of the uniqueness is a speech given annually by just one player to represent all of those. No speech is more famous from this event than the one given by Kirk Cousins just before his senior season.
As the 2016 Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon comes closer, the conference office announced that Wisconsin Badgers running back Dare Ogunbowale will get that speaking honor in 2016.

Ogunbowale is exactly what the Big Ten would like to uphold, as an Economics major who takes his studies as seriously as he takes his football. He interned this summer with Merrill Lynch and has been a great contributor to UW’s charity efforts as well.
Additionally, he serves in a major role in helping others figure out life after athletics are finished at Wisconsin.
A former walk-on, Dare Ogunbowale serves as president of the #Badgers Beyond the Game program.

On the field, Ogunbowale has certainly taken an interesting path, going from little used cornerback to the leading rusher on the Badgers in 2015 with 819 yards and seven touchdowns.
It certainly will be interesting to hear his speech on Tuesday, July 26th.
