Not an impressive win. I have no idea whether this team has an substantial talent or not. It's hard to tell where this is going. Beating these guys by 10 isn't a show of force. If anything, it showed weakness.

They do have some excellent players who are going to contribute big time next year. Assuming Gard is even in Madison. If not? Some may transfer.

Thing is UW gave Gard a golden contract I think thru 2024 Gard gets a $12 million buyout if UW fires him.

He'll probably get '24 to straighten it out. But I doubt there will be a contract without a cheap buyout if it's extended.

His contract runs through '28, so they're going to eat a lot of dead salary if they let him go before then. That extension was a huge mistake. He has a real golden parachute like you said.
