Brewers 2025 Season Thread

Wow could knock me over with a feather if you told me this back in April that in July that Brewers would be in 1st place in the NL Central and tied for the best record in MLB.

Yup! On top of everything they are doing it with a patched together line-up including a 5'7" afterthought as their starting 3rd baseman. I figured they were a .500-ish team at best, with an unsettled situation at 3rd base and an injury riddled starting rotation early in the season. Who knew.

They are winning with solid pitching, some timely hitting, and very solid defense. Even guys like Durbin and Ortiz who aren't great at the plate are playing some outstanding defense.

they have made a great turnaround. i hope they can keep it up. it is a long season.

11 wins in a row, and just like that, they are all alone in first place with the best record in baseball. Can't imagine they can contine to win at a .600 pace but it is sure fun to watch right now. Am going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Need to win 40 out of next 62 to get to a 100 win season.

Brewers screwed the pooch big time at trade deadline.

Traded Nestor Cortes, a prospect they signed as international player paying $1.5 million for him in Jan 2024 and sending cash for a 28 year old OF who's said only value is as a pinch runner.

Then trade PTBNL or cash for a SP who had TJ and won't play the rest of this year and MKE is paying the rest of his 25 million salary just to get a 32 year old RP who is having a good season but is also hurt and on the IL and no set return for him.

So Brewers get a usless OF and 2 hurt pitchers at the trade deadline and don't fix the SS spot or get a power bat.

Shows MKE FO is not serious about making a push for the playoffs.
