Elliot making a statement on why he should get more playing time

I do agree the young man is looking good and does deserve to see his snaps increase. We know what we have in average limited players like Perry and Neal. This kid could be the guy who allows us to be more comfortable in having Matthews play a large amount of his time inside and letting Elliot along with Peppers to put on pressure from the outside.

Anyone who can come in and be effective as part of a rotation helps. Doesn't have to be all world, but remember the contributions by Erik Walden and Frank Zombo in 2010. Not household names but effective in their roles. Would love to see Elliot grow more into that as the season goes along.

Elliot made those plays by being aware. It seems like Walden made his almost by accident.
Good awareness, great hustle = two turnovers. I agree, get him some more time!

he's shown flashes of that awareness ever since he entered his first camp. definitely a guy who should get more playing time to see if he can handle it. like GBP said Neal and Perry are limited. If Elliot is going to make plays get him in there.

Personally, I like Neal better than Perry. At least he makes some splash plays at times and gets pressure on the QB. Perry seems to be only decent against the run at times.
Perry will probably be gone after this year anyway.

Agreed. Get Elliot some playing time. He did this on Sunday night against one of the better teams in the league. I would like to see what he can do against a better offensive line as well.
