#Packers OL Lane Taylor agreed to rework the last year of his contract, freeing up about $3 million in 2020 cap space. He’s now due $1.5M, including a $100,000 signing bonus.

Must have figured that a paycut was still worth it over what he would have made on the FA market at this point.

Smart move by both sides. GB also signed S Vernon Scott this morning.

This gives Taylor another year to develop, and possibly get a solid contract after the season is over. It could be a career saving decision on his part, and it was a good cost cutting maneuver by the Pack.

Agree Taylor will be top backup at guard spots and if he has to play and can show he's healthy and decent he might end up with a decent contract from another team in 2021.

If Taylor plays well this year and you can get him on a smaller contract maybe we can let piece of junk Turner go. He is making way too much money right now for what he did last year. Taylor is probably just as good.

I am hoping that maybe one of the guys drafted this year or a guy like Patrick or Light could maybe take his place next year.

Right now they are saying Light is being projected as the favorite to be the swing OT this year.
