Next Badgers Football Coach

I think after watching Bobby E use the off-set I pistol set and the RPO today the whole malarky about LL offense and some other coaches not happening is out the window. It's very plausible to think that the days of PC base offense are gone.
That's a good thing no matter how this turns out

Watching the Badgers offense, I saw players having fun on the field for the first time in quite a while. It wasn't the vanilla game plan that Chryst wanted. It was creative, and gave Mertz an opportunity to use his skills more effectively. It also showed us that our receivers aren't all that bad. Maybe more under-utilized.

Every time I saw them run something that reminded me of the Kansas offense, I had to smile.

I'm not saying that our receivers are world class. Dike was by far the main target. I think the role of others will expand. There's promise there.

While I like what I saw as far as scheme, let’s not forget Northwestern is ranked 95th in defense and lost at home of Southern Illinois and Miami of Ohio.

Give the guys and the staff credit, it was a tough week on many levels and they played with emotion MSU does not defend the pass well at all.

On to East Lansing

He was #3 on the depth chart so there’s that also
correct however his talent level and that of the #2 IMHO were not the same. #2 is a guy who is in state fav and was part of the WFCA push... If it's still
an instate recruits priority and if JL were to go down that path then right here right now Oct 2022 I will say he will fail. You can't win with that kind of talent with the teams coming down the pike in the Big Ten.

Hill was unimpressive in spring from all reports, he has the arm but not much more.

That's not the point Fla Pack, you can't keep coveting instate talent over guys you bring in from the West coast and SE. UW doesn't get the looks they should for a variety of reasons we have discussed numerous times but there 100% is a bias toward instate recruits...it's been repeated again...and again and again. This is yet another case of that same issue.

Wanna see UW go back to 4-5 win team? Keep that same culture.

Fine that’s an evaluation issue re: Hill. If he’s your #3 that’s a problem. And if the staff gave a pass to an instate guy that’s a bigger problem.

Then fine. Give more resources to recruiters and add to staff. It’s not like this is new news.
