NIL - Texas style

Who gives a rats ass what the media writes. Maybe they should do some research and point out how the NCAA never enforced its own rules for decades. How money changed hands for decades between boosters and recruits. I’ve pointed out examples in this thread
Media won't gloss over it. IT seems you are not concerned with how the NIL money is being thrown around to me it needs more restrictions

Multiple states have already amended laws because their legislation is more restrictive than NCAA guidelines and also allowing coaches to work with collectives. And if you don’t think back door deals have been happening for decades, well living in a cave must have been enjoyable ( that’s not directed at you TW, just a general statement).

To this point NIL has not impacted recruiting classes in either football or basketball. It has not shifted the balance of power in any conference.

The real gorilla that the NCAA created is the transfer portal and nobody wants to have that discussion. That’s been in effect since 2018 well before NIL was created. It’s done more harm than good. 4-5,star kids are not in the portal it’s 3 star or less kids thinking the grass is greener and over 1,300 kids are not in school right now.
It's only been a 1 year give it time it will impact it for sure

Seems we are at point states will change NIL laws to allow schools whatever they want to do
No that’s not why they are doing it. It’s to be less restrictive. It’s not carte Blanche

With kid getting rich off NIL deals what will be point for some to even try to want to make it to pro level when they will have set bank accounts even before the pros

No it's to give schools ways to buy best players. We need more laws on NIL not less

Still say also that it should say if NIL deal is worth more then tution you can not get a scholarship and you have to pay your way for school.

I would bet 2% of any media hack has even read any state legislation. It would be time we’ll spent if they did.

I was not blind to money being thrown around the last 20 years or more. It’s does not need restrictions it needs less ambiguity and more streamlined

And then get ready for multiple lawsuits and Title 9 challenges and they wound win hands down

If a kid is getting NIL money above tution they don't need a scholarship they can afford to pay for it on their own and that schoalarship can go to kid who needs it

So pretty much let the wild wild west continue and let the bribe money grow more?
