Not a lot of HUGE surprises but a few interesting things.
- I was suspicious that they might keep only 2xQB but figured since both backups were so mediocre they would keep both and let things continue to sort themselves out. I have no problem with them cutting Kizer.
- the RB group is what I expected but I still wonder if this is the final group.
- WR was about right though I wasn't so sure about Davis due to his injury history. St Brown's injury made it easier to keep Shepherd.
- a little surprised at OL. To me I'm not so sure Madison earned that spot. He was not very good in preseason. But like Light last year, they must have seen something to make them think he had potential down the road. I guess they must have figured that Patrick was the better fit over McCray. It's nice that they got something for McCray.
- no surprise on DL
- surprised at LB. A little light at both spots. Another position where I expect there might be another player or two added.
- Sullivan at CB would have been a surprise a few weeks ago, but he'd been playing better every week. Redmond had a solid camp and I had him with a solid shot of making the squad in my 53 but I don't think either of these guys should get a long term lease.

Only surprise to me is the Lazard, Davis, Sheperd choice. I thought it would be Davis or Sheperd released. I had picked both Boyle and Kumerow to make the team since long before the preseason started.

As far as the cuts I see in other positions, we lost nothing. I actually am glad to see Kizer gone. It tells me they will look elsewhere, and groom Boyle for another year, or use him, if necessary.

on McCray trade Packers trade McCray for a swap of 7th rounders. If their own 7th is higher then the Browns they keep their 7th rounder otherwise they would swap with the Browns
