The funny thing is, Carolina is 6-5. Obviously one of those wins was against GB and a game that GB probably should've won, but they're not a bad team. They have a shot at winning the South and a playoff spot. That was probably an example of bad public intel on a team skewing expectations. Maybe you still predict a win, but people at the time were brushing them off as a team GB should've beat by 30 pts and that's probably just not a realistic take on them.

Offense will need to be sharp with its operation if it wants a read on Vikings’ blitz
Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores comes up with unique blitz and coverage packages for each opponent he faces, and he’s going to put the Packers offense to the test. The two losses to the Vikings last year were different stories. In the first one, the Packers fell behind 28-7 at halftime. But they roared back and nearly won. Flores backed off blitzing after the Vikings took their big lead, but turned up the heat near the end. The Packers wound up with 465 yards, including 379 passing. Love was sacked just once. In the rematch at US Bank Stadium, Flores hardly blitzed at all. His four-man pass rush was in Love’s face most of the day, sacking him three times and limiting him to 185 yards passing and one touchdown. The Packers don’t know what they’ll get this time, but one way they help themselves is to get out of the huddle early and use things like a hard count or double count to try to make the Vikings tip off their blitzes. “I think throughout the week, you're saying, ‘Hey, what are the things we really need to hone in on specifically?’” quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion said. “And then the other thing that goes with it is the cadence. Just having a really good operation, timely motions. All those things come into play.”

I love your optimism. But, we should have pounded them. The Pack put in a bad effort. Wasn't it you who was there and said our guys were getting shoved out of the way like that old lady who wanted a Marbled Rye?
Optimism is fantastic. But, no excuses. The Pack S_ _ t the bed that day - and other days which is why they on the outside looking in. Lots of talking - but little walking.
With that said. Go Pack Go! Find a way!

I really hope Van Ness becomes as good as Micah says he is and will be. Still have to see it.

I was there, I did say that and they did get their butts kicked. My point is that Carolina is better than Packer fan perception, and the idea that GB should've blown them out of the water was based more on magical thinking than a realistic take on their team. It's not optimism or pessimism, it's just reality.
Even the best teams now aren't pounding anyone or blowing anyone out of the water. Just win your games any way you can and forget the style points.

not sure i buy that.
colts beat the dolphins 33-8. they beat the titans 41-20. they beat the raiders 40-6. they beat the titans again 38-14.
the patriots beat the panthers 42-13. they beat the titans 31-13. they beat the browns 32-13.
the texans beat the titans 26-0 and they beat the ravens 44-10. and they aren't even one of the best teams
i can give you more examples, but i got bored of looking them all up.

I think that should always be the reality and we are seeing it throughout the league. Lions were in a similar game with the Eagles as were the Packers. I'm in the AL Davis camp and just win, baby.
