The Packers have listed four questionable and ruled out four players for the team's Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Detroit Lions.
The four questionable for Thursday are receiver
Matthew Golden (wrist), linebacker
Quay Walker (neck), and cornerbacks
Keisean Nixon (neck) and
Nate Hobbs (knee).
Green Bay has ruled out defensive linemen
Lukas Van Ness (foot) and
Karl Brooks (ankle), and receivers
Savion Williams (foot) and
Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder). Reed is currently on injured reserve with a designation to return.
Running back
Josh Jacobs (knee) did not receive a game status for Thursday and will play. He missed Sunday's 23-6 win over Minnesota after injuring his knee on the second play against the New York Giants the previous week.
Walker, Golden and Hobbs all sat out against the Vikings before being estimated as limited on the injury report this week.
Nixon suffered a stinger in the first quarter against Minnesota after colliding with teammate
Devonte Wyatt on the sideline. He was estimated as did not participate on Monday before being upgraded to limited following Tuesday's walkthrough.
"A lot of these guys are making progress," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur on Tuesday. "Unfortunately, you're kind of up against it when you're talking about Thursday football. So, we'll see where they're at. Obviously, (Nixon's) a guy that we would absolutely give up till game time to see if he can go."
Depending on the status of Nixon and Hobbs, first-year cornerback and Detroit area native
Kamal Hadden could be in line to make
his first NFL start in his hometown team.
According to LaFleur, Van Ness is "day-to-day" after returning against Minnesota following a five-game absence. He was estimated as a non-participant this week after playing just six snaps against the Vikings.
"It's just where he's at," LaFleur said. "We thought he might be able to go, and he tried to go, and wasn't feeling it. So that's where he's at."
In addition to Jacobs, Green Bay didn't issue a game status for the following players who will be available: quarterback
Jordan Love (left shoulder), safety
Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker
Edgerrin Cooper (foot/shoulder), tackle
Zach Tom (back), and receivers
Dontayvion Wicks (calf),
Romeo Doubs (wrist), and
Christian Watson (knee).
