Packers 2022 Thread

They got Hill coming back after 4 weeks. Plus they got Cobb and Amari. Although I still think they keep Goodson. ;)
No guarantee Hill is ready after 4 weeks. Plus I don't want to go down the Ty Mongtomery route were we make WR's a RB again.

RB will be interesting to watch come regular season. That group might be the hardest hit aside from WR with Adams departure. Teams are going to be able to commit more to stop the run. Despite what preseason against scrubs and backups show this WR group is not going to scare anyone, so defenses will be able to move more guys up. And the questionable OL will mean more need for Rb to be a blocker.

It's kinda funny how it's playing out, with the WR group becoming so weak you'd think they'd really bolster up the RB group on the roster but instead they're doing the opposite. They seem to be keeping 6-7 WR and possibly going with only 2 RB which is IMO a little nuts. Aaron Jones gets dinged every year. I love him but it's just what happens. Dillon takes a bruising too. If anything they should be actively spelling those guys with someone like Taylor.

Just a guess but maybe AR wants a bunch of guys to throw to and he spends the season averaging 50+ attempts per game

They haven't made final cuts yet. Btw, Goodson might be the 5th best receiver.

Kenny Stills trying to find work. Said he wants to play for the Packers.

Goodson is not a lock.

Patrick Taylor is a bigger body and blocks better. He also can play ST's better than Goodson.

I would not be surprised if they keep Taylor and try to get Goodson on the practice squad.

From the packers.com website on the RB competition:

Head Coach Matt LaFleur has mentioned in recent days that special teams and pass protection will factor heavily into who wins the job, and that isn't lost on the combatants.
