Poor Sammy won't get to wear both his numbers he's wore in pros (12,14) nor college number (2)

I guess Watkins is an OK signing. Not a lot of money committed. No draft capital used. He has that speed element they are looking for. Maybe he brings you about what MVS would give you. An average Sammy year is about 40-45 catches and about 500-600 yards. That would be OK but you still need to draft at least 2 as it stands right now. Having Watkins at least allow a little flexibility. They can take hopefully get one in Rd 1 and then see how the rest of the draft falls.

Watkins is just a gamble he can step in as at least a #3 meaning you have Lazard and Cobb as yoru top 2 and any rookie(s) you have can have a season to develop and step into a bigger role. If a rookie steps up faster then if Watkins is good he is still a decent 4.

Though with Watkins this likely means with him, Lazard, Cobb, and Rodgers none of the other WR's likely make the final 53 as I think the team will have a couple rookies drafted in the first 3 rounds. That will give you 6 WR's and I think that's as most as they keep.

Watkins has decent yards per catch and catch %.. he should be able to find a supporting role in GB.
I agree. At least he gives us some veteran presence and experience. I know we have Cobb but he is pretty much done. I think Watkins has a little left in the tank at least.

I'm trying to figure out why people thought Davante Adams was in his prime and worth a big contract, and have since said that Watkins is too old to be considered a viable option. Since Adams is a tad older than Watkins, that doesn't make sense, does it?
Adams doesn’t have Watkins injury history.
That’s part of the equation, imo.
