Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

opposing teams focus on stopping the run because of how good he was last year, and disrespect love and the passing game. it's as if everybody thinks the packers offense can be stopped by stopping jacobs. and when jacobs is not in the game, they act like they can ignore the run, so you end up with wilson averaging 5.5 yards per carry. i'm sure jacobs is not happy about the year he is having.
Part of it is also our OL could not run block and open a hole if you gave them a snow plow.

somewhat true. a little bit of hyperbole there, but yes our line is sus. still, it is clear that opposing defenses are focusing on stopping the run, with the expectation that they can put us in 3rd and long where we will fail. it worked in the first half. but once our passing game gets going, we only use the run to keep them honest. love still throws up the occasional head-scratcher like that long pass to watson but watson bailed him out. same with that pass to tucker that ended up going for 59 yards. that pass was a wounded duck that tucker somehow hauled in and then ran his butt off. part of being a successful qb is trusting your receivers to fight for the completion. i think love fully trusts his receivers.

Tucker catch and run was all luck. But, luck is where preparation meets opportunity. Tucker made a great play.

I like when the offense opens up with him.

I don't think opponents keying on the run is a mark against Jacobs or Love. I think it's opponents understanding that LaFleur wants an efficient dominating run game to set up the passing game and opponents recognizing that the Pack's current weakest ofline. link is our offensive line.

I disagree with this about it being luck. Aaron Rodgers himself always said that if the defense is playing man and their back is to you, then your guy is open. Love threw that ball to space in Kraft's vicinity and in that coverage it was either Kraft or no one. Not a precision throw by any means but there's a calculation to it, it's not a prayer or something where the revivers bailed him out. Same with the Watson play, Love put air under that ball to drop it over where the S was dropping. Mahomes does that 3 times per game and announcers lose their mind over it.

totally agree with you rp. is it taking a risk? sure, but it is a calculated risk and the receivers are aware of it, so it isn't "luck". i think we will continue to see throws like this, and sometimes it might bite us, but as we saw in this game - against a good team - it is a risk worth taking under the right conditions.

Nick Niemann injured his pectoral during this game on ST, Kristian Welch may get a call up soon.

LOL the people on X. Oh Golden wants to be traded, ML and Love don't like him and won't throw to him. Golden is a diva. Blah Blah Blah.
