Packers have signed their punter Daniel Whelan to a contract extension. Whelan has registered two of the top three single-season averages for punting in franchise history, posting a 46.2-yard average in 2023 (No. 2), and a 46.1-yard average in 2024 (No. 3).

Whether you like the deals or not, after how many years of signings and cuts I don’t blame them for just locking up the guys who have become consistent for them.

$67m guaranteed is pretty rich. Packers cap and cash flow status notwithstanding, I don't think I'd feel great paying that to Watson. Have to see what he does this year, when he comes back, what Golden does etc.

i don't think there's any way the packers pay watson. that's just my opinion.
