Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

The Packers announced that former CB Tramon Williams and OT Earl Dotson will be inducted into the 2026 Packers Hall Of Fame.
 
#Packers CB Nate Hobbs is expected to miss at least the next two games with a Grade 1 sprain of his MCL, per source.
 
Not commenting, only noting a palpable decrease in the amount of faith Packer fans have in ML after this weekend. Something changed.

The play calling was just questionable. First that bad call on 3rd and short gets blown up and then 4th and 8 and it just seems ML panicked. He made a bad call to go for it instead of trying the FG and trusting his team to get the ball back and score again. At the game I said it was stupid take the points when you can in close games like that. Seems like he's playing to win to keep his job.

Other teams seem to know our playbook better than our own players. Feels like MM in later years. Just observing what fans are starting to notice.
 
The Pack will absolutely drive ya nuts.

We need Aaron Rodgers to tell us to Relax and/or it's ok, we're going to run the table.

Instead, well - the loss to the Browns and Panthers and tie to Dallas have us here: 5-2-1 with 9 to go. On its face it looks pretty good - BUT, we had a soft beginning. On paper we should be scaring Dolphins at 8-0 right now.

4 Home Games: Eagles, Vikings, Bears, Ravens
5 Away Games: Giants, Lions, Broncos, Bears, Vikings

I think we need 6 wins to get in the playoffs.

Monday Night is our Superbowl. We need to beat the Eagles at HOME. I seriously don't know how, but we need to figure it out.

I think the coaches need to re-assess everything they are trying to do. We cannot base the offense on a running attack - we just don't have the line. I fearfully anticipate an ass whoopin' if we try to run first against the Eagles. We need to loosen it up with passes - they don't need to be bombs away. They need to move the chains. Musgrave must step up. Tire the defense. Then unleash Jacobs. Hold onto the ball - And, Love don't make me head to the fridge for a High Life. Smart play by all.

And defensively, we need to tackle and stop the run. I know the Eagles can throw, but if you let Barkley get going, Carolina will seem like it was paradise. If McKinney is our leading tackler again, we're toast.

Somehow, we need to do it Monday. The Vikings, Lions, and Bears are salivating. On Thanksgiving evening the Pack could easily be 9-2-1 or 5-6-1. Exciting stuff ahead. I want to believe. Go Pack Go!

It's a tough one. If you want the offense to hum then one of two things needs to happen: 1. the OL needs to pass block better than they have, or 2. Love needs to read the D and get rid of the ball faster than he has. I've made the comment before that GB is probably better equipped now than they have been in years to actually run 11 personnel at the rate someone like McVey does, but it's easier said than done. Love has shown the ability to read the full field but I don't think he's done it quickly enough or consistently enough. That said, I don't know how often hes been asked to. One of those things where maybe you don't know what he can do until you push him to do it. But related, your OL needs to hold up in pass pro. I can't have Jordan Morgan getting ragdolled, or Sean Rhyan blowing out our TE's ACL.

So yeah, I think what you're saying is they need to start passing to set up the run versus run to set up the pass, and I agree that it gives them a better shot to move the ball, but it's all sort of magical thinking based on observed quality of OL play.

Agreed, I think we have to hope your # 2 can work with 11 personnel.

We know our Offensive Line isn't getting it done. It really is a shame at how physically and mentally bad our offensive line is. We have a pretty good to great quarterback, and we can't protect him. And, they can't perform or work a scheme to get LaFleur's preferred offense to run. They just kill everything. You'd think the brain trust would have been and would be on this 24/7, but no.

Regardless, I think we have to see if Love can do it and give him more of the keys.
