I say we let Watson go. It's both injuries and drops. He's good and has potential to be great. But in LaFleur's system that spreads the ball, is it worth putting a ton of money into a Number 1 Receiver who will not get targeted like a Number 1 Receiver? And, then you have to consider how often he's not available - a lot. And, And, then you have to consider how frequently he has hands like Keg Man - way too frequently for a Number 1 Receiver.

If we can only sign one, I sign Wyatt. I know the popular choice would be Kraft. I like Kraft, and I acknowledge the offense faltered without him. But, really. His great game against Pittsburgh? Love threw some hope and prayer passes that he got to. He's very very good. But, Mark pointed out that he missed at least one block on a missed field goal last year (or could that have been the phantom arm block championed by our lost Short Bus Savior). He's got a great Wisconsin'ness to him. But this is not about who is more Wisconsin. I think we could manage without Kraft - doesn't mean I want to. But, when Wyatt was there our defense was pretty darn good. When he left it sucked. I think losing him was the biggest hardship last year. I thnk we need Wyatt to return like he started last year or we're sunk.

I hope we don't have to make either call. But today, as I type, that's the way I'd go.

Most likely you let Wyatt go due to age. He will be 29 years old this year.
 
Would like to see some more vets to add depth to CB and OL and another DT not sure we will get any of that though.

what did you think he would say? "we want to thank rashan for going away peacefully. he never really lived up to his contact and we regretted signing it almost immediately. his impact was rarely felt by opposing quarterbacks. if anything the impact hurt our success more than the other teams."

I remember working out a trade to send a defensive end named Jamal Reynolds to the Colts. They voided it, saying failed physical. I never confirmed, but always suspected they just thought he was bigger than he was, and sent him back.
